Edith V. Neds, 98, passed away September 9, 2018.
Edith was born April 24, 1920 in Alleghany, Virginia. She graduated from Laird Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1941 and joined the US Army as an OR nurse supervisor. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Norwood (Mike) Neds, she is survived by son Michael Roger (Barbara) Neds of Savannah; daughter Nancy Cochran (Philip) of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Nicholas and Michael Neds, Kimberly and Kristen Cochran and Kelly Cornell; great grandchildren Danny and Jack Neds; and four siblings. Memorial service 10:00 AM Monday, October 15 at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church. Private interment at Beaufort National Cemetery. Donations in her remembrance can be made to Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, 54 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, Ga 31411.
